Yesterdays [no. 4]

They blamed me for their headaches,
the noisy toilet,
rainy weekends,
broken fingernails,
and their growing insanity.

But I did them better,
in time, and
they finally blamed me
for deserting them
a favor of a

 happier woman.

And that...
is a blame
they can cherish
forever.
